Carmarthen based florist, FloralDecor by Sienna, has come up with a marvellous way to raise funds for Cerebra – she has created a beautiful Cerebra bouquet!
There are three different bouquets available, the Classic, Signature and Luxury Bouquets which are £30, £40 and £50 respectively.
10% from the sale of each of these bouquets comes directly to Cerebra and each is exquisitely gift wrapped and presented in a gift bag.
Please note that due to the seasonal availability of flowers it may be necessary to vary individual stems from those shown. The skilled florists may substitute flowers for one similar in style quality and value.

Cerebra are preparing to hold our second quiz evening following the huge success of last year’s event.
We are once again asking the people of Carmarthenshire “are you Carmarthen’s smartest?” with rounds of questions covering favourites such as music, sport and current affairs.
The quiz will take place at Carmarthen Town AFC’s Clubhouse, Richmond Park on Thursday 9th June 2016. Teams will be pitted against each other to win the title of “Carmarthen’s Smartest”, as well as a cash prize of £300 – oh, and the chance to win our coveted trophy!
There will be eight rounds in total covering a range of subjects, as well as a few other fun rounds, so there will be something to suit everyone no matter what your specialist subject is!
We invite teams with up to a maximum of five members to take part but if there are more than five of you, don’t worry. We have plenty of spaces so you can just play against each other!
As well as the main event, there will also be a raffle and auction with some fabulous prizes on offer.
The entry fee is just £50 per team and this includes a lovely pie and mash supper from Hughes the Butcher, St Clears. There is also a fully licensed bar on site, should you need some encouragement!
All proceeds from the evening will come directly to Cerebra so get involved to help raise money to support children with brain conditions.

A Carmarthen based local business has come up with a great way of raising funds using one of Cerebra’s collection boxes.
Odette Aubrey of Cards Are Us hosts one of our boxes on her counter and has decided to use it to collect all of the 5ps from when customers buy a carrier bag.
Odette said: “When customers buy a carrier bag we always put the 5p in Cerebra’s charity box and when they realise that it’s going to such a great charity, lots of people give all of their loose change. Our customers love the fact that 100% of the carrier bag charge goes to Cerebra.”
Cards Are Us have so far collected an impressive £149.86 for Cerebra – all from simply collecting 5 pence pieces!
Hosting one of our boxes is a great way to raise vital funds for children with brain related conditions but also helps to raise awareness of Cerebra.

On Friday 18th December, Cerebra will be getting into the festive spirit with a Christmas spectacular at Merlin’s Walk, Carmarthen.
For the first time ever, we have put together a choir of Cerebra staff who have been putting in hours of practice to perfect everyone’s favourite carols. They will be performing on the day to help shoppers get in the festive spirit.
There will be mince pies and mulled wine available as well as a number of fun activities including a lucky dip with some fantastic prizes for children.
We are also very privileged to be able to welcome Santa himself – who will be there on the day helping us raise money for children with brain related conditions.
Everyone is welcome to join in with the festivities so come along and help us to celebrate the festive season and raise money and awareness for a great cause.

On 11th June, we held our first ever quiz evening at Carmarthen Town AFC’s clubhouse.
The evening was a huge success with teams competing for the title of “Carmarthen’s Smartest” under the watchful eye of media consultant and temporary quiz master Robert Lloyd.
All of the quizzing subject favourites were covered from sport to entertainment. Some of the rounds even had a special twist with one round asking teams to “guess the spice” and another asking them to guess the intro.
As well as the quiz, there was also a raffle and an auction with prizes including a ticket for a family tour around the Millennium stadium, a Pandora bracelet and even a 15kg bag of dog food from Burns pet store! The auction was expertly conducted by local auctioneer Gerald Vaughan and raised a fantastic £149 towards the final total.
The event has so far raised a fantastic £1,411.50 for Cerebra and the winning team, “The In-laws, the outlaws and the inbetweeners” even donated their £300 winnings back to the charity.
Quiz master Robert Lloyd said: “I had a very enjoyable evening hosting the first Cerebra quiz evening and hats off to the winning team!”
